It exhibits excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance, offering 2-4 times the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel sheets with equivalent coating thickness, while also possessing the high-temperature corrosion resistance characteristic of aluminum sheets.
55%-AL Galvalume Steel Coil, also known as GL (Galvalume), is a type of coated steel coil that consists of a continuous hot-dipped metallic coating of 55% aluminum and 45% zinc. The combination of aluminum and zinc provides enhanced corrosion resistance and greater longevity compared to traditional galvanized steel.
The Galvalume coating on the steel coil offers several advantages. Firstly, the aluminum in the coating provides excellent barrier protection against corrosion, even in harsh environments.
