SMP color-coated sheet is the colored stove varnished metal sheet made by applying SMP coating to metal sheet for high-temperature baking. The paint film features high hardness, good wear and heat resistance, good external durability and not easy pulverization and a service life of 10-12. but limited gloss retention and toughness.
Due to its good wear resistance and anti-scratch performance, SMP color-coated sheet is mainly applied to mines, steel works, etc. Since the adhesion and processing performance of the silicone modified polyester are not ideal, it is not applicable to the processing occasions requiring multiple times of moulding.
Since polyester contains active groups -OH/-COOH, it is very easy to react with other high-molecular compounds. Through modification, the light resistance and pulverization resistance abilities of polyester have been improved. By applying modified polyester to the steel sheet, the hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance of the coating are improved, so the SMP color-coated sheet features good external durability and not easy pulverization.
