Description
Galvanized steel strip is a corrosion-resistant metal product made from ordinary steel strip as the base material, processed through steps such as pickling, galvanizing, and packaging. It is primarily used in construction, home appliances, automotive, and industrial sectors—for manufacturing structural components like light steel framing members, fence posts, sinks, cable trays, and other parts that do not require secondary galvanization.
This product is manufactured using a hot-dip galvanizing process, which involves pickling to remove rust, followed by cleaning with an ammonium chloride solution before applying the zinc coating. The finished product boasts a standard zinc coating thickness of no less than 500 g/m², with individual samples meeting or exceeding 480 g/m². During production, care must be taken to prevent the coating from coming into contact with condensation and corrosive gases. For storage, it’s essential to control humidity levels and ensure proper ventilation. Additionally, oiling or passivation treatments are often applied to further enhance the stability of the zinc layer. Certain models are made from materials such as Q195. Q235. or SGCC, and we can provide deep-drawing and stretching services, along with rough machining options like leveling and slitting.
